SMART’s mission is to provide low-income students in San Francisco access to an exceptional education and the skills needed to thrive in college and in life. We empower and support our Scholars and families to achieve heightened educational outcomes that lead to college access and success.
To achieve these goals, SMART guides our families through the middle school and high school enrollment processes. First and foremost, our goal is that families are able to navigate the complex landscape of educational options available to their student in San Francisco. Thus, we help families explore enrollment options in public as well as independent schools throughout the city, and find the best fit school for their student.
During these processes, we assist families with admissions and financial aid processes, advocating for families in schools, conducting tours, and training families to become strong educational champions through workshops and one-on-one guidance.
