SMART’s Class Sponsor Circle is an opportunity for dedicated donors to make a multi-year commitment to a full class of SMART Scholars. Donors can watch the impact of their giving, year after year, as our Scholars progress in their journey to a college degree.

Your gift can go further by donating stock directly. Direct stock gifts lets you use 100% of your donation, rather than losing a portion of it to capital gains tax. You can make a bigger impact at zero additional cost to you. To facilitate online stock donations, we have partnered with DonateStock, which makes donating stock quick, easy, and secure. You can make a gift to SMART through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) by recommending a gift to SMART. SMART's Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 94-3287468.

As a community-involved and values-driven company, you can partner with us to take action and provide opportunity for all students in San Francisco.

Ways that companies can support SMART financially include:

Corporate Contributions and Event Sponsorships: SMART accepts general contributions as well as event sponsorships at various levels. These funds help us fulfill our mission of providing low-income students an exceptional education and the skills needed to thrive in college and in life.

In-kind Donations: SMART hosts activities and events throughout the year. Donated space and food for these events are greatly appreciated. Additionally, we could often benefit from technical equipment such as computers, office furniture, and other in-kind goods and services.

Matching Gifts: Corporate matching gifts are an invaluable source of funding for SMART. Many corporations match employee contributions.

Additional Corporate Engagement:

In addition to financial support, companies volunteer with SMART, host Scholars for internships, and more. Click to find out more about corporate engagement.

Cy pres awards are unclaimed or leftover funds for class action cases that are given to certain non-profit organizations that further the purposes of the underlying class action or promote justice. If you or your organization would like to designate SMART as a beneficiary of a cy pres award, please contact Kelly Brian Shea, Senior Director of Development at kelly@thesmartprogram.org or 415-944-2138.
